AN URBAN oasis to get away from it all
This master bedroom in Dublin was updated by applying a subtle blue-grey color in the entire suite. We established flow by continuing the same dark hickory flooring throughout the rest of the home into this space. Textured, deep-charcoal, velvet drapery panels flank south-facing windows. The main bedroom furniture is made of solid Ash with a modern shell stain. An accent table with an etched marble top and segmented black iron base serves as a nightstand on one side of the platform bed. A beautiful setting of furniture leads you into the renovated master bath.
This master bath opens with a solid Alder, white-wash, barn door complimented with matte-black hardware. Black elements continue in the bath where all matte-black plumbing fixtures are from the Jason Wu for Brizo™ exclusive collection. Large rectangular porcelain floor tile elevate the space while elongated, matte-white subway tile are contrasted with charcoal grout lines. Carrara marble tile adorns the floor and accents in the frameless glass shower. In lieu of niches in the shower—a discreet, floating shelf made out of the same marble-look quartz as the counters—serves to display glass bottles for shampoos and soaps. Utilizing the maple cabinetry original to the home, the black and white features are warmed by pulling in similar wood toned pieces. Finishing touches include a floating, raw-edge walnut shelf, live plants in various ceramics, gunmetal vanity mirrors, black iron wall sconces, and art from an artist local to one of the owners favorite vacation spots.
